1. Notorious Gangster Vikas Dubey who had been arrested for killing eight police officers in Kanpur, India, was killed in an encounter by the Uttar Pradesh Police wherein a vehicle in the convoy that was taking him from Ujjain to Kanpur overturned and Dubey snatched a pistol and fired at the police but the police retaliated by killing him.

2. Per a report ‘Seizing the Moment’, released by UNAIDS, HIV targets set for 2020 will not be reached, owing to the deeply unequal access to antiretroviral therapy and service disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic leading to the global AIDS response getting set back by 10 years or more.
