RESEARCH INTERNSHIP
TENURE: 1-2 months

THE POSITION:
This position is for Research Interns who will be a part of Contego Humanitas team and contribute to our blog posts and research reports on various aspects of human rights.
WHO CAN APPLY:
The position is open for students, from all academic backgrounds, who can demonstrate knowledge and interest in human rights. We encourage application from students belonging to marginalised communities.
COMMITMENT
We provide an open canvass to every member of the team. We venture into deep-dive research on a diverse range of issues, and encourage our interns to suggest, and where possible lead, the said research with a small team. Interns may be as involved as they wish, with a minimum time commitment of 20 hours per week.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Writing blogs;
- Preparing research notes on human rights issues;
- Case notes;
- Collating national and international human rights news;
- Research assistance in drafting reports on human rights issues;
- Social media outreach.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Human rights enthusiasts with a zeal to work for the society;
- Folks with innovative ideas to write and raise their voice on the pressing human rights issues;
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi id preferred but not compulsory);
- Knowledge of conducting research;
- Flexible, independent, self-motivated individuals, with the ability to multi-task.

SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

THE POSITION:
This position is for Social Media Interns, who will be a part of Contego Humanitas team and contribute towards the outreach of our blog posts and other human rights initiatives.
WHO CAN APPLY:
The position is open for students, from all academic backgrounds, who can demonstrate knowledge and interest social media engagement. We encourage application from students belonging to marginalised communities.
COMMITMENT
We provide an open canvass to every member of the team. The intern are encouraged to suggest their social media strategies to the Communications Lead. Interns may be as involved as they wish, with a minimum time commitment of 20 hours per week.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working closely with the Communications Lead;
- Designing creatives for social media and research reports;
- Collating national and international human rights news;
- Assisting in our COVID-19 crowdfunding initiative for refugees
- Assisting in carrying out our COVID-19 Humanitarian aid initiatives
- Assisting in organising webinars on the issues of International Law and Human Rights
- Public outreach and driving sensitisation campaigns
- Social Media Outreach
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Human rights enthusiasts with a zeal to work for the society;
- Folks with innovative ideas to write and raise their voice on the pressing human rights issues;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi;
- Flexible, independent, self-motivated individuals, with the ability to multi-task;
- Knowledge of engaging via social media platforms (like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram) is essential.
